Family Photo Shoot

So it is that time of the year...time for the annual family photo for the Christmas cards. We got dressed in our cute matching outfits and the kids were patient while we posed them for half an hour. I think this year's picture turned out pretty good. Thank heavens for digital technology. We could take dozens of shots and know for sure if we got the one. For the last shot the kids got to make funny faces. The older the kids get the more enjoyable doing these things becomes. Now I just need to get the prints back from WalMart and put them in with the Christmas cards.I haven't started my holiday baking yet. I was finishing up some other projects. I will probably be doing that at 5:00 in the morning for the next few weeks. The girls have dance recitals twice this month. I always love to see them out on the stage. They are just so stinkin' cute. Belle started Junior Jazz basketball yesterday and did quite well. It is already evident to both Steve and I that she has improved since the last time she played. It is a busy time of the year. I sometimes feel like I look forward to Christmas all year and it just flys by.

Hey, I thought I would fill you all in on what my family and I are doing for a service project this Christmas. It is actually our 2nd time doing it. Instead of going grocery shopping this week, we eat whatever is in our cupboards and in the back of the freezer. Then at the end of the week, we use the money we would have spent on groceries on buying food for the local Food Bankhttp://csc-ut.org/foodbank.htm. It is a great way to get the whole family involved in the service project. It also makes for intertesting meals for the week.

I love your idea for the food bank. I'd love to hear what you end up eating! Your family photos are awesome, what a beautiful family! I have to tell you that I think we have the same carpet and my bedroom walls are the same color as yours! You have such good taste! ;) Thanks for sharing!

Great idea regarding the food bank! Have to say when I started reading your blog I thought the goofy pic was the Christmas card pic-what a hoot that would have been! Love the other pic, though.

your family looks so cute. I love how your little girls have their hands perfectly positioned on their knees looking so cute. It makes me laugh when I think of my christmas card shoots -- we're just happy if the boys are looking at the camera (smiles, frowns, stone faces, whatever - we'll take it!).
